Maximizing the Grid


Ongoing Self-initiated Design Experiments

Using strict structural frameworks, this series explores how density, repetition, and modular constraints shape typographic form. Built from reduced geometric forms and a restrained color palette, the work recontextualizes graphic language by distilling iconographic elements into modular geometric systems, exploring the grid’s generative potential.

Characters (Chinese, Latin, and numerals) are deconstructed and reconstructed within these systems, allowing language to emerge through modular repetition and structural logic. The project also reflects an ongoing interest in cultural authorship and feminist perspectives, examining how visual structures shape the construction of language and meaning.

What appears visually chaotic is governed by precise underlying order, where structure becomes the primary driver of the image.
